Sludge Management Products

This machine represents innovation in design and provides an economic solution for either thickening or de watering at small, medium and large water, waste water and industrial effluent treatment plants. Sludge thickening up to 15% and de watering up to 25% dry solids are attainable. System can operate automatically or manually-either continuous or intermittently.

There are following working sections of the dewatering machine –

  1. Flow Control Tank
    This tank feeds a fixed controlled amount of Sludge to the next tank (Flocculation Tank) and whilst the excess sludge returns to the storage tank through adjustable sludge weir.
  2. Flocculation Tank
    Suitable Polyelectrolyte is mixed with the sludge slurry to form thick flocks suitable for the Dewatering.

  3. Thickening Zone in Cylindrical Barrels
    In this zone sludge slurry enters and the initial filtrate zone made of rings is discharged whilst the thickened sludge is pushed through the flight of screw towards the Dewatering Zone cylinder. In this zone gap between loose plate and fixed plate is more.
  4. Dewatering Zone
    In this zone the gap between moving and fixed rings and the pitch of the screw decreases gradually in the direction of the discharge (End plate), whilst the pressure of the filter element of sludge increases due to decreased volume by compression effect, which thickens and dewaters the sludge.
  5. Sludge Release Zone (End Plate)
    In this zone more pressure is generated by adjustable pressure plate at outlet side so that the sludge becomes drier, in result up to 25% solid sludge cake is released from the sludge cake outlet.

Sludge Dryer

Waterneer Sludge type dryer has been designed and developed for drying of different types of paste like ETP/STP biological / chemical sludge, coagulated blood to produce blood meal etc. These machines are highly efficient mechanically agitated, indirect heating by steam or thermic fluid. There are two counter rotating shafts with uniquely designed intermeshing wedge type paddles that produce intimate mixing and self cleaning of heat transfer surface for optimization of heat transfer resulting in minimizing the foot print of machine

Multi Rake Bar Screen

Waterneer multi rake bar screens are made for extraction of large and medium size solid waste from effluent channel before pumping of effluent to prevent clogging of impellers of pump.
The range of bar spacing can vary from 12 mm to 50 mm depending upon application of screen. Suitable for channel depth up to 12 meters. and width up to 2 meters. Screens are made of stainless steel (SS 304/ SS 316) for long service life of equipment.

Step Screen

These screens are intended for the removal of medium and small waste solids from effluent channel and recommended to be used at waste water treatment plants. Suitable for effluent channel width up to 1200mm and depth up to 1200mm.

Automation of screens saves energy and reduces effects of human error. Operating principal of step screen provides formation of layer of waste solids on the top of screen bars and moves upwards to waste bin/conveyor. Screens can be supplied with 2mm to 6mm clear gap between bars. Material of construction – SS304/SS316

Screw Screen

These screens are intended for medium and small waste solids from effluent channel and recommended to be used at water treatment plants. Suitable for effluent channel width from 200mm to 600mm and depth up to 4mtrs.The perforated sheets provide high efficiency of filtration and screw is equipped with a brush on its edges to ensure cleaning of screen media in filtration zone.

The trash retaining screen is made of stainless steel in the form of perforated sheet/wedge wire screen and has larger area for filtration due to inclination in effluent channel. Waste retained on filtering screen is removed by axially rotating screw conveyor up to waste bin.

Drum Screen

These screens are being used for screening of very small size solid waste like food waste, feather/meat trimmings, fibers, hair etc. The complete screens are made from stainless steel and non corrosive material for long service life. The filtering screen is made of wedge wire screen that ensures very fine filtration (up to 0.2mm) High quality of mesh cleaning is ensured by mounting of non metallic scrapper on drum surface.

Agitators / Mixers

The agitators/mixers are flexible, modular design that enables to match the right mixing method for the exact requirement, ensuring greater energy savings, superior cleanliness and higher process efficiency in terms of reduced process time and higher yield. This translates into better use of raw material and resources, improved product quality and less waste in long term.

Basket Type Screen

This screen can be installed in a Manhole prior to pumps, the size depending on the inflow rate and depth. The sturdy, stable basket screen retains the floating debris at the sewer outlet. The screen bottom plate is perforated to allow static dewatering of the retained material. When a certain amount of material has accumulated, the screen basket is lifted upwards by an electric chain hoist. The vertical basket movement is supported by a stable carrier and guide rails. These rails are curved in the upper section to ensure a partly automatic discharge into a suitable container. While the screenings are transported upwards in the basket, material which could impair the function of downstream pumps is removed by a fall screen supported on guide rollers. Control of the screen can be either manual or electrical.

Pressure Sand / Activated Carbon Filters

These filters are most popular for removal of turbidity from water. The Pressure Sand Filter consists of a multiple layer of sand with a variety in size and specific gravity. These Filters are designed to remove turbidity and suspended particles present in the feed water with minimum pressure drop. These filters are offered in both horizontal/vertical construction and made from carbon steel or Stainless steel with face piping and associated Valves.

Mechanical Belt Oil Skimmers

We offer durable Oil Skimmers which can be used in waste water treatment plants for removing excess oil from sewage and industrial effluent water. The mechanized skimmer’s belt is immersed into the liquid, due to its rotation polluting agents like oil stick to the belt, while rotating, meets scrapers that are fitted with a soft edge removes everything that gets stuck to the belt. The advantage of simplicity in technology reduces maintenance.

API Oil Separator

API oil separator is provided to remove the free floating oil from waste water generated from restaurants, laundries, refineries, auto services centers etc. Free floating oil is separated from the waste water in quiescent condition offered by these types of separators. Separation of spent oil is based on theory of gravity separation. Being lighter oil floats on the surface of waste water and gets collected with help of endless chain type scrapper in a launder. A level controller is fitted to maintain the correct level of floating oil for easy collection of oil in launder.
